RMHC 2021 Board of Directors
Matt Simpson currently serves as Chairman of the Board of Directors for the Ronald McDonald House of Northwest Ohio. Matt began his journey with RMHC as a House volunteer in 2010, at the “old” House. He joined the Board of Directors in 2012 and continued to serve in his volunteer role, with a devotion to the families that stay at the House.
Matt has served several roles over the years including Chair of the Marketing Committee, serving on the New House Construction Committee, Vice President and as of January 2020, Board Chair.
Matt has worked for Durocher’s/La-Z-Boy Furniture Galleries since 1986 and is the company’s Sales and Marketing Director.
In 2010, La-Z-Boy Incorporated became the official furniture provider of Ronald McDonald House Charities. Over the past eleven years, La-Z-Boy has donated over 10,000 pieces of furniture to RMHC homes. Matt worked with La-Z-Boy to fill the new House with beautiful La-Z-Boy Furniture.
Matt and his wife Rhonda live in Sylvania Township where they raised three boys. Volunteering at the Ronald McDonald House has become a mission of Simpsonation and as a family, they have regularly served meals and have even started to teach their grandchildren the joys of serving others. Matt and Rhonda created one of the RMHC of Northwest Ohio’s most entertaining events of the year “Cork and Pork”. They’re proud parents of their youngest son Adam who is currently serving on the Marketing Committee at the House, continuing volunteering in the next generation.
Chad Bringman is currently the Executive Director of the Ronald McDonald House of Northwest Ohio (RMHC) and has since April 2007.
He has influenced a dynamic and hardworking team of professionals through many great opportunities for RMHC and the Northwest Ohio community – including the building of the new Ronald McDonald House in Toledo. This new facility replaced the original House which opened for families December 9, 2015 and now serves hundreds of additional families each year.
The original facility opened December 9, 1982. Chad is a self-proclaimed student when it comes to topics such as: leadership, strategy development and execution, communication – ultimately culture development that drives results. In his free time Chad loves time with his family including travel.
Jeff Cremean is the Chief Financial Officer for IMCO Carbide Tool, Inc., A recognized leader in advanced cutting tool technologies and manufacturing with distributors world-wide. Jeff is a Certified Public Accountant & Chartered Global Management Accountant with over 25 years of finance and operations experience in a variety of industries.
Currently he serves as Assistant Treasurer on the Board of Directors for the Ronald McDonald House Charities of NW Ohio, as well as the Chair of the Finance Committee. In the past, he was a founding member of the Engaging Opportunities Foundation and served as Treasurer and Chair of the Finance Committee. Jeff also previously served as the Clerk-Treasurer for the Village of Genoa.
Jeff earned his Bachelor of Science in Accounting from The University of Toledo.
A lifelong resident of the area, Jeff currently resides in Temperance, MI with Shirley his wife of 29 years. They have 3 children and 4 grandchildren. When not enjoying time with family, they love to travel.
Mark Fox is the Director of the Office of Technology Transfer & Services (OTTS) at Bowling Green State University.
BGSU is a public university dedicated to creating public good and strives to advance its impact through engagement by participating in private and public partnerships that support research and creative activities and enhance the vitality of the BGSU community. The mission of OTTS is to promote commercialization of technologies arising from BGSU research and services.
OTTS is a single point of entry for licensing BGSU technologies and to engage with BGSU for research and technical services, collaborative partnerships, and other engagement opportunities.
RMHC 2021 Board Members
Paula Grieb, DNP, RN is Chief Nursing Officer & Vice President Patient Care Services Metro Region Hospitals. Prior to her current role, Paula served in several key executive leadership roles including Chief Operating Officer/Chief Nursing Officer ProMedica Bay Park Hospital and ProMedica Fostoria Community Hospital.
Paula has a Doctorate in Nursing Practice a Master of Science from The Ohio State University and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Spring Arbor University. She has a Nurse Executive, Advanced Certification. She is a member of the Toledo Area Ohio Organization for Nursing Leadership (TAOONL). Paula serves on the Ohio Children’s Hospital Association Board and the Ronald McDonald House of NOW Board.
Paula is married to Mike for over 30 years and has 3 beautiful adult children, Jeffrey, Justin and Danielle.
Dasa Dzierwa serves as Associate Vice President of the ProMedica Foundations where she leads a team in raising funds for 13 hospitals in the ProMedica footprint. She is passionate about connecting people and their stories, engaging communities, and creating donor-enabled change for good. She and her husband, Matt, reside in Haskins, Ohio and have three children—Madison, Noah, and Joseph.
Kim Kaufman joined the Board in 2018. She received her Bachelor’s Degree from Bowling Green State University in Supply Chain and Marketing in 2010.
After college, she started with Owens Corning as an intern and is now the S&OP Leader for the roofing business.
She lives in Norwalk, OH with her husband, Josh and two sons both of which were born premature (Beau – born at 29 weeks now 4 years old and Gunnar – born at 33 weeks and now 18 months.)
Andrea Gurcsik is the Senior Manager, Global Talent Acquisition for First Solar, the largest manufacturer of solar modules in the world. In this capacity, she is responsible for recruiting, branding, talent strategies and social media. Prior to her taking this role at First Solar, she was responsible for leading the human resource function for many of company’s North American locations.
Currently, she serves on the board of Directors for the Ronald McDonald House Charities of NW Ohio, American Heart Association, The Employers’ Association and the Ohio Society for Human Resource Management State Council.
In the past, she has she served as the State Director for the Ohio Society for Human Resource Management State Council and the Conference Chair for the Ohio Human Resource Conference, the President of the Northwest Ohio Human Resource Association Board of Directors and the President of the March of Dimes Board.
Andrea earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in business administration from the University of Toledo.
A lifelong resident of the Toledo area, Andrea enjoys spending time with her husband, three children and their dog, Molly. The Gurcsik family enjoys traveling, with a goal of visiting all 50 states as a family.
Katie has been honored to serve on the RMHC Board for several years. She has retired from In Any Event, her corporate event planning business which she owned for 25 years; but enjoys being involved in events and fundraising for the House.
Katie lives in Sylvania and is the proud mother of three grown children.
Jessica Hall is a Second Generation McDonald’s Owner/Operator of 10 McDonald’s Restaurants in Northwest OH.
Jessica’s passions are customer service and people development through strong leadership and teamwork principles. Beyond her connection with the Ronald McDonald’s House from her ownership of McDonald’s, Jessica has a personal connection with the House including living at the House in 2002 when her daughter was born 10 weeks premature, as well as getting engaged to her husband at the House.
Jessica has served on multiple community and McDonald’s committees including, RMHC of NW Ohio Board Member, McDonald’s Toledo Co-Op President, McDonald’s Regional People Team Lead, and Allen County Board of DD Board member. Through her McDonald’s restaurants and on a personal level, she supports the RMHC Houses located in Toledo, Dayton, and Columbus, Ohio. Her, along with her husband Tyler, and their two children Madison and Kadyn live in Lima, OH.
Kiran Rai has served on the Board since 2017. She has chaired the Family Services Committee as well as the auction committee for the Heartwarming Fundraiser. Prior to COVID, Kiran regularly volunteered at the house spending time with families helping them scrapbook their journey.
Kiran has two grown children. Her son lives on the west coast working at PIMCO, and her daughter has been working remotely from home for a startup wellness and beauty company. In her free time, she loves to travel, cook and read. Her new pandemic passion is knitting.
